The Northeast Iowa Poetry Writers’ Group invites anyone interested in writing poetry to attend a meeting on Monday March 10, 6:30-8 pm, at Decorah Public Library (2^nd floor Mezzanine Gallery).

At meetings, group members share poems they’ve written on the assigned topic (snowflakes for March 10), time is set aside for general discussion, and an assignment topic is chosen for the next meeting (Mon. March 24). Assignment topics are submitted by group members and then selected at random during each meeting.   

The Poetry Writers’ Group is self-led and free of charge. Attendees share poetry that they’ve written, constructive criticism, works by favorite poets, and information about upcoming workshops and poetry readings. The group welcomes new members of all ages and experience levels. Meetings are held 6:30-8 pm on the 2^nd and 4^th Mondays of each month.
