The Northeast Iowa Poetry Writers’ Group invites anyone interested in writing poetry to join them on Monday September 22, 6:30-8 pm, at Decorah Public Library (2^nd floor Mezzanine Gallery).

At meetings attendees share poems they’ve written, critique each other’s work, choose an assignment topic to write about and share at the next meeting, and occasionally listen to recordings of famous poetry readings. Assignment topics are submitted by group members and then selected at random. The theme for the September 8 poem assignment is “abundance or plenty.”    

The Poetry Writers’ Group is self-led and free of charge. The group welcomes new members of all ages and experience levels. Meetings are held 6:30-8 pm on the 2^nd and 4^th Mondays of each month.
