Event DPL to host book discussion on “Special Topics in Calamity Physics” (at the library, from Apr 23, 2009 07:00 PM to Apr 23, 2009 08:00 PM)
Copies of Marisha Pessl’s debut novel, “Special Topics in Calamity Physics,” are available for check-out at the front desk of Decorah Public Library. A book discussion will be hosted by library staff member Kristin Torresdal at 7 pm Thursday April 23. The free discussion is open to the public.

Come to the Decorah Pizza Ranch Monday, April 13, to help the Friends of the Decorah Public Library. Ten percent of all sales that day will be donated to the group. Stop in for a pizza, the noon buffet, or call for a pick-up or delivery and know that you are helping a good cause!

Decorah Public Library is hosting an exhibition of works by mixed media paint artist Melanie Heindl in April and May. A reception for Heindl will be held Saturday April 18, 1-2 p.m., on the 2nd floor of the library. The public is invited to come and meet the artist, view the show, and enjoy light refreshments provided by the Decorah Regional Arts Council (DRAC).

David Faldet, Jones Professor of Humanities and chair of the English Department at Luther College will be reading and signing books at the Decorah Public Library at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday April 30.
