The program will feature a variety of stations where participants can see and do amazing tricks and feats with this substance that covers most of our earth and comprises most of our bodies.
Also on the program will be a few of the “rip-roaring good times” described in Sean Connolly’s book, Totally Irresponsible Science: 64 Daring Experiments for Young Scientists, that are sure to “awaken curiosity while demonstrating principles like osmosis, air pressure, and Newton’s Third Law of Motion.” All of the activities and experiments use common household ingredients and equipment, and share one important component: water.
Wet-worthy clothes are suggested as, weather permitting, participants will spend part of the time in the parking lot where it will be okay to get a little wetness all about in the name of discovery.
