Decorah Public Library will host “Music Fun” with Mike McAbee as part of the children’s summer reading program, “Make a Splash-Read!” Mike McAbee will perform Wed. June 16 at 3:30 to 4:15 on the mezzanine level of the library.

Originally from Dodgeville, Wisconsin, Mike developed his love of music after visiting the country music capital, Nashville. Mike attended Luther College and performed with his band, The PryOrrities. Moving to Minneapolis to attend Northeast Metro Truck Driving School, Mike spent the next 8 years driving for several companies. The spring of 2000 found Mike back in Decorah ready to become a musician. Mike has frequently played for Lawn Chair Night in Decorah.
