Decorah Public Library will host Susan Kiesau and her puppets, Bernie and Buddy, Thursday, June 17 at 10:30-11:15 as part of the children’s summer reading program, “Make a Splash-Read!” A Waukon resident, Kiesau has been entertaining children with puppets, books and stories of all kinds in schools, day care facilities and libraries.

“Make a Splash-Read!” is a 6 week long children’s summer reading program that encourages 15 hours of reading time for ages 3-10 years. At the completion of their reading logs, children will receive a free T-shirt courtesy of the Friends of the Decorah Public Library and coupons from area businesses. Entertainers and presenters are scheduled weekly plus fun activities and reading programs for kids.
