Ever wonder what you would do if your dog got hit by a car? Or injured while you’re out hiking? Do you know how to deal with heat stroke? Dr. Guarneri will discuss how pet owners can cope with common emergencies and what to keep in your first aid kit. Preparation can make a big difference in any emergency situation. Your canine companions will have a better chance of a positive outcome if you have some basic knowledge to fall back upon under stressful circumstances.
Dr. Guarneri grew up in Sioux City, received her undergraduate degree from Drake University, and received her D.V.M. from Iowa State University in 1994. She started a practice in Strawberry Point and later practiced in Elgin and Ossian. In 2006 Dr. Guarneri opened Critters & Such Pet Care in Decorah. She lives in Calmar with husband Michael, three kids, three dogs, and seven cats.
