Decorah Public Library will host “Magic From Around the World Fun Show!” with Mike Prestby as part of the children’s summer reading program, “One World, Many Stories.” Prestby, master magician and family entertainer since 1980, will be in the library Thursday, July 14 at 1:00 to 1:45 sharing his unique blend of family fun, comedy magic and audience participation. “Magic From Around the World Fun Show” will focus on the importance of reading and feature magic and illusions from around the world such as Chinese linking rings, the sands of Egypt, the Indian snake basket with “Fang” the mind-reading python to name a few. Helping Prestby promote a strong reading message will be Al, his alligator sidekick.
