In honor of Earth Day, April 22, here’s your chance to up your eco smarts and brag about it, or just inspire others about the fascinating world of nature all around us! Come browse a selection of our books and videos about environmental topics and pick the one that grabs you. Have your picture taken with it so that we can make a nifty public relations poster about the two of you. Then, take that book home and read it, and write something about what you liked about it, what surprised you, what made you happy or sad or how you might live your life differently because of it. If you’re a really young person or one who finds it hard to write, no problem, say your words to someone else so they can write them down for you. Then give your comments to Heidi at the library and we’ll “publish” them, along with your poster, on the library walls so that your thoughts get spread around and make a difference to others. If the sun’s out, while you’re reading, you can enjoy a cookie baked in the solar oven.
