Come play a terrific new game!  Germany, the U.S. and several other counties have honored this with the “Game of the Year” award, and we have just purchased a copy so you can see why!  As a player, you control a group of settlers trying to establish themselves on the remote but rich isle of Catan.  The set up at the start reveals the island’s many harbors and regions:  plains, meadows, mountains, hills and desert.  You guide your settlers to success (victory) by clever trading and cunning development, using resource combinations (grain, wool, ore, brick and lumber) to buy development cards and build roads, settlements an cities.  You acquire those resources through trades or lucky dice, but beware!  Someone might cut off your road access, or buy a monopoly!  And you never know when the wily robber might steal away with your precious gains!  The game can accommodate 5-6 players, so if you want a spot, come early!
