Decorah Public Library will offer an 8-week reading and discussion group focused on current world affairs in March and April. Beginning March 12, the group will meet for an hour every Monday at 4 pm. 

The group’s text will be the Great Decisions briefing book- published annually by the Foreign Policy Association- which highlights eight of the most thought-provoking foreign policy challenges facing Americans today. The book provides background information, current data and policy options for each issue. Topics for 2012 include Middle East realignment, promoting democracy, Mexico, cybersecurity, exit from Afghanistan & Iraq, state of the oceans, Indonesia, and energy geopolitics.  

Each participant is asked to pre-register and pay $20 for a copy of the Great Decisions book by Mon. Feb. 27. Books will be ordered no later than Fri. March 2. April 30 on the 2nd floor of the library.
