You might try this idea on in your imagination:  Not all the spooks and ghosties roaming around at Halloween are trying to scare you.  Some are just….well….spirits visiting us at this special time.  Come make a small gift for them, to hang somewhere in or outside of your house, as a way to kind of say, “Greetings to you on the Hallowed Eve!”
