Beginning in March, Decorah Public Library will offer an 8-week reading and discussion group focused on current world affairs. The group will meet on the 2nd floor of the library every Monday from 3:30-4:30 p.m., March 4- April 22. 

The group text will be the Great Decisions briefing book- published annually by the Foreign Policy Association- which highlights eight of the most thought-provoking foreign policy challenges facing Americans today. The book provides background information, current data, and policy options for each issue. Topics for 2013 include the future of the Euro, Egypt, NATO, Myanmar and Southeast Asia, Intervention, Iran, China in Africa, and threat assessment. Details about each topic can be found < HERE >.

Anyone interested in participating should stop by the library by Fri. Feb. 8 to preregister and pay $20 for his/her copy of the Great Decisions briefing book.
