Mango Language Learning Program
Mango Languages, which is free for all library cardholders thanks to the generous support of the Friends of Decorah Public Library, offers a fast and convenient solution for the community’s language-learning needs. Each lesson combines real life situations and audio from native speakers with simple, clear instructions. The courses include vocabulary, pronunciation, grammar and culture. Users learn actual conversation skills, step-by-step.
Users can select one of two different Mango course versions. One is Mango Complete, a 100-lesson course that is designed to provide a deep understanding of a language and its culture. The second is Mango Basic, which teaches everyday greetings, goodbyes and helpful phrases in a short period of time and is designed to appeal to a beginner in a new language. There are more than 40 foreign language courses available and 16 English as a Second Language (ESL) courses.
Please feel free to contact Kristin at Decorah Public Library for help with setting up your account: firstname.lastname@example.org or 563-382-3717. You may also stop by one of the walk-in Tech Talk sessions, held every Tuesday afternoon 1-3 p.m.
