Main Street Lansing

This volunteer will act as the treasurer for the Main Street Lansing program .

Duties include:

  • Attend monthly Board meeting, usually the 4th Tuesday, for approximately 1 to 1.5 hours; the candidate would present a report detailing all income and expenditures. All other work could be performed from home or a location of the candidate’s choosing.
  • Manage KBSB checking and savings accounts with the primary focus being the checking account from which bills are paid by the Treasurer, including the Director’s bi-weekly salary and payroll taxes; reconcile the checking account monthly.
  • Prepare IRS acknowledgements for investors in January.

Monthly expenditures are, on average, about $3,500.
Number of checks written varies but averages 15.

Income entries from a variety sources total approximately 100 annually.

Main Street Lansing has been using QuickBooks; the candidate should be able to use this software or an equivalent. The program is located in the Cloud and is operated through it.
Confidentiality is of paramount importance. The candidate must observe the rules of confidentiality with regard to all transactions (e.g. monies received and expended, reports written/presented. etc.)
